Behavioral Insight (BI)

To support VA’s modernization and improve Veteran-centered mental health care, DSS offers Behavioral Insight — a versatile, cost-effective, web-based solution. Integrated with VistA/CPRS/Federal EHR it enhances clinical and operational efficiency while addressing current challenges in a multidisciplinary setting.  

Behavioral Health Symphony (BHS) 

Behavioral Insight is part of the Behavioral Health Symphony – a suite of interdisciplinary applications developed to create mental health treatment plans with a focus on Veteran collaboration. BHS helps mental health treatment coordinators, mental health providers and team members to remain in compliance with the Joint Commission and VHA Uniform MH Services Handbook standards by providing measurement-based care to Veterans. 

Mental Health Suite (MHS)

Mental Health Suite is a comprehensive solution for managing and documenting the care and treatment of mental health patients.

It is a VistA/CPRS integrated multi/intra-disciplinary documentation tool to create, suspend, renew, and close treatment plans. The application allows treatment teams to collaborate and monitor patient care and case management referral to other service providers. For more than a decade, MHS is a critical component of the VA's larger health information technology infrastructure, supporting the "VHA Enterprise" by providing a standardized, integrated solution for mental health care.
