PODCAST: DSS, Inc. Enhancing COVID-19 Screening and Testing for EHR Customers

In the following podcast interview, Deanne Clark, Senior Health Informatics Consultant at DSS, Inc., discusses how the company is taking steps to help its EHR customers best manage COVID-19 screening and testing.

With the COVID-19 pandemic being a massive and critical priority for health systems today, DSS, Inc. is taking steps to help its EHR customers with a new software configuration change – based on its existing software – to help meet today’s needs.

In particular, DSS Clinical Coordinator Informatics staff created a new Reminder Dialog Template to distribute to any DSS EHR client for COVID-19 Screening/Testing based on published CDC Guidance and with the input of our in-house clinical advisors.

The new template creates a Progress Note in the patient chart, and the data that is entered is stored as individual Health Factors that can be readily retrieved for reporting purposes.
