Integration allows Epic EHR users to enhance quality of care through latest evidence-based knowledge

Minneapolis, MN – February 27, 2018 – Sage Health Management Solutions, Inc., a healthcare information technology company focused on prescriptive and predictive analytics, today announced that RadWise, which facilitates appropriate radiology orders by combining features of computer-provider order entry with evidence-based imaging Clinical Decision Support (CDS), is now available on Epic’s App Orchard.

RadWise CDS Mechanism will allow ordering professionals to leverage a qualified clinical decision support mechanism (qCDSM) for establishing requirements and processes as required under 42 CFR sections 414.94(g)(1) and 414.94(g)(2) Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) proposed rule for calendar year 2018.

“Ordering professionals will now be able to take advantage of advanced diagnostic imaging recommendations that provide patient-centered care founded on the latest evidence-based knowledge and specific symptoms for each patient,” said Dr. Katherine Gray, President, Sage HMS.

RadWise also offers exclusive access to Sage Evidence-based Medicine & Practice Institute (SEMPI) evidence-based imaging Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) content, reference hyperlinks, radiation exposure estimated and reported values, as well as rich diagnostic code and procedure data with outcomes and findings analytics.

Content includes all eight current CMS priority clinical areas plus additional areas to improve the ordering process and ensure the right test is ordered and care facilities receive payment for all Medicare Advanced imaging claims.
