DSS, Inc. Announces Purchase of Patient Engagement and Scheduling Solutions to Improve Care Delivery for Hospitals and Health Systems

Company expands health information technology offerings to include stand alone and integrated patient engagement suite, Looking Glass®

Juno Beach, FL – December 1, 2016
 – Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS), the leading provider of software development and support for VistA and vxVistA, today announced a strategic agreement to acquire Streamline Health’s Best in KLAS Looking Glass® Patient Engagement suite. The $2 million  acquisition includes the Looking Glass® product suite, current customer base and personnel.

The Looking Glass® suite consists primarily of Patient Scheduling and Surgery Management software and is based upon the legacy ForSite2020 solution which Streamline Health acquired in connection with its acquisition of Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. (USA, Inc.), in February, 2014.

This acquisition will fill a strategic gap in DSS’ product offerings as an integrated component of their Hospital Information System, vxVistA, and as a standalone patient engagement and scheduling solution. DSS has been working with the Looking Glass® product suite for over X  years and expects this to be a seamless transition. The decision to purchase the suite is based on its robust product features and ability to improve care delivery for the healthcare market.

“We are very excited to be able to add award winning applications in the areas of Patient Engagement, Resource Scheduling, and Surgery Management to our current suite of products.  After working with the dedicated team at Streamline for a number of years we believe that integrating them into the DSS team will provide significant new capabilities to our customers in the healthcare space,” said Robert Missroon, VP Finance, CFO, Operations.
