vxDesktop is an innovative new application designed to reduce the number of icons/modules on each user's desktop by serving as a "wrapper" for other applications such as vxProCode and vxProCode Reporter. vxDesktop maintains user context across all modules providing a single vxVistA sign-on location for all embedded modules. Once a user is signed in, based on user permissions within vxVistA, embedded modules will display.
vxDesktop also maintains patient context and visit context across each embedded module further saving the user time and making it easy to do multiple tasks without having to constantly re-select the patient or visit. vxDesktop will continue to grow as more modules, including vxPatient and vxUser are developed in the future
