DSS, Inc., Launches Community-driven, Web-based Collaboration Environment to Promote Use and Knowledge of Open Source VistA EHRs
Hospitals, community health organizations, practices and other healthcare entities to benefit from VistA forums featuring best practice discussions and posts by thought leaders.
Juno Beach, FL – January 13, 2010 – DSS, Inc., a provider of software, integration, installation, project management, training, support and development of VistA, in cooperation with Open Health Tools, today announced the launch of www.vxvista.org, a community-driven collaboration sandbox to act as a forum for discussion and best practices among VistA users and developers nationwide and internationally.
The Web site was created as a collaborative environment for VistA EHR users and those interested in learning more about the technology in order to spur adoption and knowledge of VistA. vxVistA.org, which will include user-driven discussions and thought leadership posts, will serve as an educational tool centered on collecting ideas for innovation to VistA and creating real solutions as well as improving the power of VistA.
The site will also feature discussions around vxVistA, the newly released open source EHR based on the award-winning system from the Department of Veterans Affairs. These discussions will include new project proposals, enhancement processes, new modules and functionalities desired, updated graphical user interface creation, workflow design and improvement, and promotion of professional services and implementations.
